Teams and Competitive Tennis
We have a total of 20 teams playing in the Hereford and Worcester Mens, Ladies and Mixed leagues as well as several junior teams.
There are typically at least nine divisions in each league and our teams are spread throughout these from top to bottom, giving players of any standard the opportunity to play competitively. Teams are entered in both the summer and winter leagues, giving members the opportunity to play competitive tennis all year round.
The club holds an internal club championship, which runs throughout the summer and incorporates a number of different disciplines such as singles, doubles and mixed doubles, plus separate competitions for both the Under 18’s and veterans at the club. We also run an internal singles ladder competition throughout summer and winter and have an annual open tournament each August when players come from across the Midlands region to compete for the various titles available.
Finally, there are a number of one day tournaments throughout the year. These vary in standard as we try to cater for all those who want to play, including those taking the step up to competitive tennis for the first time.
